man power,land,water,electricity,railway and tarmac road.Public Private Partnership (PPP) being a major investment in bringing fast social-economic development Ifakara Town Council is highly encourage and invite every one interested to invest in various areas due to its potentialities and opportunities it has such as;
1.Industries
The development and promotion of the industrial sector depends largely on the availability/accessibility to the market of the produced products and institutional support services. Investing in processing and packing rice is viable in terms of availability of raw materials, reliable electricity and internal and external market. It can create a strong backward and forward linkage between agriculture and industrial development. Other small scale factory/processing units like pottery industries can be established. Provision of institutional support services like credit facilities, training and researches will generate considerable amount of individual income as well as contribute to the Council and regional economy.
2. Investing in Commercial complex
The growing population of Ifakara Town provides a wide range of needs in terms of goods and services. In this aspect establishment of shopping mall is valuable to exploit the existing markets.

There are opportunities in investing in tourism industry to exploit available tourist attractions as follows;

•Natural pond at Lumemo water source
•Historical sites such as Ifakara Girls secondary School which was built by Cuba government, Ifakara Health Institute-as a tropical disease research centre in Africa, ARI-KATRIN-A centre of excellency for agricultural Research Centre in East Africa. The investment required is the establishment of Hotels and facilities suitable to accommodate tourists from within and outside the council.
